| Pharmacy
Pharmacy is the profession that is associated with compounding and dispensing off with the required medication. Nowadays, the term includes other services which are related to patient care like clinical practice, medication review, and drug information. In fact some of these new roles are largely governed by a number of laws in various legislatures. The symbol that is most commonly associated with pharmacy is "mortar and pestle". Also Bowl of Hygeia, conical measures, green Greek cross,Gaper and caduceuses are some of the other symbols that pharmacy organisations often uses in their logos.

The field of pharmacy can be divided into three main disciplines, namely:
* Pharmaceutics
* Pharmaceutical chemistry (In fact it is often referred as "medicianal chemistry")
* Pharmacy practice
There is no distinct boundaries between the aforesaid disciplines with other sciences, such as biochemistry.In fact it is frequently seen that people from various disciplines are researching together.Then there is Pharmacology which in fact is often considered as a fourth discipline of pharmacy. Pharmacology is required to the study of pharmacy in a generic way.Pharmacists are skilled healthcare professionals and often small-business owners, owning the pharmacy in which they practice, who works to ensure optimal health outcomes for their patients.Normally they are properly trained to do the same.

Various universities and colleges across the globe offer Bachelor's degree course in Pharmacy. Ideally one needs to graduate from the same course to become a competent and professional pharmacist. Pharmacy graduates are also in great demand for their professional skillsets. Medical or pharmaceutical firms with fat pay packages often recruit them. There are various organizations cum platform both at national level as well as at International level to represent pharmacists.Like internationally they are represented by International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).Some national level platforms are Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB), the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA),American Pharmacists Association etc.To a patient a pharmacist`s way of handling medication related things matters a lot.If he or she is not competent then the patient might lose hope on the medication centre.
Pharmacists, or alternatively drug therapy experts are the primary health professionals who are responsible for primary medication management to produce result oriented positive health- outcomes.
